Food & Drink

There are few more appropriate drinks while watching the rugby than pints of good Irish beer. In the past, that meant just a few major brewers, but times are changing. You'd need to have been living under a rock for the last few years not to notice the huge amount of craft breweries popping up all over the place. The explosion of different breweries has been as inspiring as it is exciting. I still have lots to seek out and try, but so far, I'm loving Franciscan Well's newly launched Chieftain IPA. I've also really enjoyed Eight Degrees Brewing Co's Barefoot Bohemian Pilsner; Brehon Brewhouse's Brehon Blond; O'Hara's Irish Red; Metalman Brewing Co's Metalman Pale Ale; and Blacks of Kinsale KPA .
