A little equipment is useful if you'd like to make your own sausages more often. Being able to mince your own meat allows you to adjust the meats, the fat ratio, and the coarseness of the mince to your own taste. Having a sausage filler and some sausage casings is a lot of fun, and makes for much more transportable and freezable sausages. You needn't buy a very expensive piece of equipment, particularly if it's your first sausage-making kit. You can easily get a useful sausage maker for under €100 that will do the job well. Old McDonald's Farm and Feed Store sells a great sausage-making kit for €70.
