The Abbey Tavern, Howth

The Loft Restaurant is an authentic 16th Century intimate candlelit restaurant renowned for its seafood, receiving supplies daily from the local harbour. Opening Tuesday – Saturday from 6pm till late in the summer and Thursday – Saturday 6pm til late in the winter. The fully licensed restaurant accommodates 65 persons and with its warm and unique atmosphere it is ideally suited for your personal and business entertaining. Our restaurant was totally refurbished in August 2009. As you make your way downstairs you will enter The Abbey Tavern Pub. You will be struck by its old world charm, blazing turf fires, original stonewalls and a really warm welcome where you can enjoy a drink or two on the way to the Barn. The Barn is our Banqueting/Entertainment Venue. We can cater for groups of up to 180 persons. The Barn is home to the world famous Abbey Tavern Singers & Musicians. We begin our show with our Irish dancers followed by a Traditional evening of song and music. Before the show we serve a typical three course Irish Dinner finishing with a Baileys coffee followed by a relaxed evening reflecting Ireland’s wealth of music and song. The Loft boathouse is our private dining room and is ideal for dinner parties from 35 to 40 persons. Situated just off our Restaurant, it is perfect for that special occasion.
