Lovely scenery!

We had the pleasure of spending a week in Galway last year with our family. Of all the places we visited Clifden was my favorite, not only because of its beautiful scenery but the great food we had in the many restaurants in the area. The Abbeyglen Castle Hotel itself is stunning but I felt like it could have made a bit more effort with the dining experience. It cost us quite a bit to dine here and it felt a bit gloomy during our meal. Mayeb the staff were having an off day. However the food was cooked to perfection and my husband raved about the wine and the pints there! All in all, i would return!
