We ate here on Christmas Eve last year - not the best night to go out for dinner as I'm sure the staff want to be off enjoying the festivities themselves! We had driven down in two cars and met up with family and a horde of us arrived at the restaurant (slipping our way across the street). The restaurant was beautifully warm which was perfect as it was such a freezing night. We were promptly seated and everyone eyed up the menu. It was a very varied choice which, to my mind, sometimes smacks of a restaurant that doesn't quite know what it is. There were choices such as mussels, steak, pizzas, chicken etc.. I ended up going for the goats cheese pizza with pineapple and anchoives. A VERY odd combo but I have to say, it was possibly the very best pizza I ever ate! Delicious, it was exactly the sort of thing you want to eat twice! My husband choose the mussels as he wanted something lighter and he loved every second of them and they were beautifully cooked and seasoned perfectly. The rest of the family totally enjoyed their choices also. There wasn't one word of complaint. Desserts were very nice too - the only problem was that my brother's one didn't arrive when the rest of them did; when he said something it turned out they didn't have any left; so he ordered something else which then didn't arrive... in the end he had a huge dessert, I suppose they were trying to make up for the earlier mistake. Bar that, it was a lovely meal, I'd happily go again and I'd recommend it to anyone.
