Isaacs has a great reputation in Cork but on our visit it fell short of our expectations. A group of us including one vegetarian dined here a few months back expecting great things but we were all left a little cold. My husband had the fishcake which he described as tasteless and stodgy. I had the pasta which could've been served to me at any mediocre restaurant. I think our issue was that we expected so much and it failed to deliver. Our friend then went on to order a cheese plate after our mains which only added to our torment! :) Pungent and upsetting, but he loved it so it must be good!
