I run Austies restaurant in rosses point sligo and spent a hard earned day off with my partner. we were wanting to top off our day with a nice meal and one of my chefs recommended Tra Ban to me which he described to me as (they have hit the nail on the head) which to me was an understatement. the restaurant itself is fresh, the food...fresh and the service was good...(apart from we were put away in the far corner at the fire escape when there was plenty of space in the first part where we could have sampled some more of the atmosphere.) For start i had the Quail which was sweet but nice, for mains I had lemon sole and my partner had the chicken riccotta both lovely, and for dessert, the tirramissu and the apple tart finne also lovely. Before any of our meals we also received a little amuse which was a cauliflour veloute. I for 1 think this restaurant is going places and might even give my chef the next weekend off for his reccomendation. will definately be back and wish them all the best in the season to come.
